When a game kicks off in the home of football, 90 minutes of passion and emotion are guaranteed. Players, trainers and fans give their all. At the sell-out Championship game between Coventry City and Crystal Palace, we were pleased to be able to host some of our top TTID customers and representatives of our business partner Syntec in a box especially reserved for the match.
| Impressive home victoryThe atmosphere in the Ricoh Arena in Coventry – where the “Sky Blues” have played since 2005 – was electric and the match was gripping from beginning to end. Coventry led 2-0 after 90 minutes, only for the visitors to grab a late goal in the first minute of injury time, giving them a slim chance of equalising. But the hosts held on to run out 2-1 winners. And it wasn’t just the Coventry fans who were elated. Tim Thompson, Head of Sales and Strategic Partner Development Europe at TTID was also delighted with the outcome of the event: “The most important thing was that our partners had a great time. It showed yet again that it’s not just the Premier League where you get football to talk about. It may be a division lower, but the Championship can create real talking points of its own. That’s what we wanted to offer, and it’s great that it worked out.”At the end of the season, Coventry City finished 18th out of the 24 teams in the Championship with Crystal Palace, two places below them, also surviving to fight in the same league for another year. So there is nothing to stand in the way of a repeat performance next season. |
